Barbara & George Corell, Owners
Nearly twenty-five years ago George & Barbara Corell purchased the Millie Lewis Modeling School & Agency from its founder, Millie Lewis. Together, they've built the company into South Carolina's largest Model/Talent Agency while at the same time gaining international recognition for professional capabilities of those they've represented. They've launched the careers of countless women & men who have gone on to work in local, regional, national & international markets. Millie Lewis graduates have been placed with world renown modeling agencies including: Ford/Elite/Next/Wilhelmina/Folio-Japan & Eye for I - Milan.

 While careers in Modeling or Acting are significant and exciting, the Corells have focused their primary efforts on creating programs aimed at building strong self-esteem in children, teens and adults. The Millie Lewis Modeling School has literally seen thousands of individuals pass through their doors seeking various aspects of personal development. The philosophy is simple...when we can encourage a person's feelings of self-worth & build inner confidence; we've provided a gift that will last for a lifetime!

 Allyson Lewis Poole, Office Manager
Allyson grew up in Atlanta where she modeled for The People Store and L & M Productions.  She has spent twenty years in the field of sales & marketing and is the Office Manager and Children's Director for Millie Lewis. She enjoys working closely with parents, children and our clients. Allyson is passionate about people and enjoys watching the students at Millie Lewis, transform into confident young ladies!  She feels fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful team.....Millie Lewis is making such a positive difference in so many people!

 Allyson moved to Greenville a little over two years ago and has grown to love the people and the charm of Greenville.  She and her husband live in Greenville and together, have five children. She attends Buncombe Methodist Church, visits the dog park often, is a published author, and enjoys creating jewelry.  

MacKenzie Kondos, Front Desk Coordinator
Prior to working at Millie Lewis, MacKenzie managed the Planet Beach Tanning Salon on Pelham Road. She is a former student of Millie Lewis, taking classes when she was younger, as well as completing the Adult class in spring of 2008. She recently graduated in December, from Greenville Tech, obtaining an Associate’s Degree in Marketing. With a main focus on building relationships with our students and clients she help to make their experience at  Millie Lewis a postive one.

After being in the retail and beauty industry for four years, she is constantly keeping up with the latest trends and fashion. She manages our front office and works closely with parents and students.  MacKenzie is the one who will welcome you when you walk through our door! 

Meredith Nanney, Kids' Club Instructor, Front Desk Assistant
Meredith is majoring in accounting at Bob Jones University. She has been at Millie Lewis for 5 years. Meredith started out taking classes and began working in the office shortly after. She started out working in the front office in the afternoons after school. She enjoys getting to talk to people on the phone and answering questions. She substitute taught classes for a while and then  began teaching full time kids classes in the fall of 2008. She continues to work in the office along with teaching the basic kids classes. She also does most of the Birthday parties here on the weekends. She really enjoys her students and loves getting to be a part of each of their lives.  

In addition to working at Millie Lewis, Meredith teaches swim lessons and lifeguards at the Cain Halter YMCA, and cheerleads for her school. In her spare time she loves to read, go snowboarding, and swim. 

Shelly Massey, Pro Kids & Advanced Instructor
Shelly has lived in the Greenville area all her life. She has been with Millie Lewis for 20+ years. As a young adult, she went through all the classes that Millie Lewis offers and did modeling in the Greenville area. Once she completed the courses she was asked to train and teach the Kids' Club Classes...since then, she has also taught the Teen Program and is now teaching the Pro Kids and Advanced Modeling classes. She loves what Millie Lewis has done for her and wants to continue to teach young girls/adults the importance of loving yourself from the inside / out.  

Shelly attends Brookwood Community Church and serves actively in the children's ministry, teaching 5th grade girls for more than ten years.  Having no children of her own...she feels like God has given her the talent/gift to work with children and touch their lives in any positive way she can.

 

Martie Bailey, Teen, Advanced & Adult Instructor
Originally from Tucson, Arizona Martie has called Simpsonville her home for 10 years.   She is blessed to have married her best friend, Tracy, 21 years ago.   They have two sons, Jacob 17 and Eli 14.   They are her first favorite job.  She loves everything about being a mom and even though she has sons, she believes God has given her "her girls" through Millie Lewis.   She has been a professional model for over 20 years and has had lots of great jobs and experiences to share with her students.   But she believes she has been given all those things to prepare her to teach and encourage women.  She loves to teach modeling but enjoys all the great relationships she has made the most.   Watching teenagers struggle with their self esteem is tough.  But she has been blessed to see some of those same young women grow and blossom in high school and college.  Loving and encouraging women of all ages and stages, is what she believes, is her calling.  "I am thankful that Millie Lewis has given me a place to do that." 

Kelly Wolff, Instructor
Kelly began at Millie as a student right out of high school at seventeen-years-old and completed all of our courses while in college.  The basic personal development course was a life-changing experience for her and taught her to set high goals and never give up! After Kelly had gone through our courses and gained the confidence she needed, she went on to participate in the “Miss Clemson University” pageant….and won! 

Kelly is a graduate from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management, with an emphasis area in Community Leisure Services. After College, Kelly became involved in the Fashion and Beauty Industry along with the Health and Fitness Industry. She worked fluently for Millie Lewis touring the Southeast doing the "HORIZON" Runway Shows for Belk Store Services for many years to raise thousands for many Charitable Organizations! 

“Thanks to Millie Lewis, I worked both locally and regionally in TV, photography and runway modeling.” When Millie Lewis decided to open a salon, Kelly went back to school to earn an Esthetician Degree and began doing make-up for stylists  through the Agency. Kelly has been affiliated with Millie Lewis for over 30 years and has done a variety of things with our School and Agency. 

Kelly  very blessed and  is presently raising her three active teenage daughters with her husband, Alan and taking care of her two elderly parents. She is launching a new Fitness Video called “Treadrix” which is "TRIX to make the Treadmill fun!!" It's the perfect work-out for women like who are too busy to get to the gym. Kelly is presently working with the Agency as an instructor, stylist and model. She recently completed a TV Workshop with George to continue growing in the industry. “I recommend our courses for anyone out there who wants to be their BEST and I am very passionate about what we do here at Millie Lewis!” 

Tammy Sorrells, Kids' Club, Advanced Kids' & Teen Instructor
Tammy lives in Pickens SC with her husband of fifteen years and their daughter, Cierra. Tammy is a member of Marathon Community Church, and is involved with the Children’s Ministry and works with their preschool department. Tammy was a registered nurse & served on the board for South Carolina for four years. Tammy has been a part of Millie Lewis for over fifteen years. She has taught our Kids’ Club, Advanced Kids’ & Teens. She leads our birthday parties we have for kids & teens as well. She also enjoys teaching step aerobics & Pilates, loves children and enjoys being with people. 

Bridgett Powell, Teen & Advanced Instructor
Bridgett moved to the Greenville area with her husband and two children in 2007.  Growing up in California, she began her endeavors all at the age of three.  Lifelong experiences include: commercials, film, TV pilots, spring ads, runway, competition dance and performance groups.  She worked as an instructor teaching ballet, pointe, hip hop, jazz and tap classes.  She also spent several years assisting as a visual merchandiser and worked all aspects of fashion shows for a department store.  She has also judged numerous pageants and competed for several years in the Miss America system for scholarship money.  All of this while receiving a degree in Fashion Merchandising.
Bridgett is currently working on her own line of maternity clothing, "Miss Conception."  She is absolutely thrilled to be part of the Millie Lewis family as a Teen and Advanced Modeling teacher and pageant coach. 

Jenny Woods, Kids' Club & Advanced Kids' Instructor
Jenny teaches the Kids' Club Classes at Millie Lewis. In addition to teaching at Millie Lewis, she also works at The Tack Shop and invests a lot of her time in horses. She takes pride in both of her jobs. "To be able to be involved with two jobs that you love so much doesn't come often." Teaching self confidence and personal development at Millie Lewis is one of the most satisfying things that she has done. "To see a girl transform in to a confident, poised young lady is so rewarding."

She has been involved with Millie Lewis for two years. Jenny has completed all of the classes and has done promotional and modeling jobs for us. "Honestly, I have to say, I have such a blast every time I'm there. We have the best group of staff that care so much about every one of their students.  Millie Lewis will always hold a special place in my heart. Just like my girls, Millie Lewis has helped me to blossom into the strong woman that I am today, and for that I will be forever grateful." 

Peggy Kourlas, Adult Instructor
Peggy is a Greenville native, and has lived here her whole life. She went to USC and graduated in Fashion Merchandising and Retail Management. She worked with Belks as a Personnel Manager for two years then became Lancôme's counter manager and makeup artist for 4 years. Peggy also owned a nail salon off Augusta Road and has been a makeup artist for weddings, agents and consultant on how to apply. She has also been a realtor for C.Dan Joyner for the past 4 years. She enjoys working for Millie Lewis and loves teaching the Adult Class and helping out in many makeup classes and photo shoots. 

 
Annie Guarcello, Teen Instructor
Annie joined the Millie Lewis staff in October 2009.  She is a Clemson University graduate with degrees in Design and Architecture, and is passionate about fashion and helping people become their best self. Aside from teaching, Annie is currently a freelance architect while pursuing her modeling and acting career through Millie Lewis. She and her husband have lived in the Greenville area for the past 5 years and welcomed a new baby girl to their family in the summer of 2008. 

Our Salon Staff:

Lindsay Kaplan, Salon Manager
Lindsay graduated from Clemson University in 2003.  Upon graduation, she worked on the Sales Team at The Westin Poinsett for three years.  With a background in the service and hospitality industry, she joined the Millie Lewis team in 2006.  Lindsay enjoys the daily interaction with clients and provides a unique, satisfying salon experience.  She just celebrated her 5 year wedding anniversary and has her hands full with her Cavalier King Charles puppy! 

 Karen Suchy, Master Stylist
Karen has been in the hair industry over 30 years and has been with some of the top educators in the countries. Some of the education that she has attended has been with educators like Martin Parsons, Arnold, Zegarelli, Nick Arrojo, Rusk, Yosh, Vidal Sassoon, International Color, USAcolor, Redkin color Exchange, Vivienne Mackinder, Roy Peters and Oscar Bond.ws once, or twice a year to bring back the latest trends for her clients which also gives her more creativity.

In her earlier years she traveled to the New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania as an instructor for skin care, facials, makeup, and permanent eye lashes. Karen worked at Saks Fifth Ave, Elizabeth Arden, and with Adrien Arpel makeup.  She has been at the Millie Lewis Salon for 13 years and also teaches classes at the Millie Lewis Modeling Agency.  “I believe my years in the business along with the education has given me the artistic ability to create hairstyles for salon client that are easy to maintain and unique.”

Jennifer Darby, Stylist
Jennifer is involved with teaching & assisting in our Hair Care classes & Birthday Parties for our kids & teens. Jennifer lives in Anderson and is a member of Marathon Community church & is involved in the Children & Singles Ministry. She enjoys spending time with family & friends.

Maria Buchan, Makeup Artist/Esthetician
Accomplished national makeup artist, Maria Buchanan, can create the perfect look for you. Maria brings an artistic flare, professionalism, and a unique sense of style to every makeup application whether it is for commercial print, film, television, weddings or just to enhance your own beauty. 

Maria is the Esthetician and Makeup Artist for the Salon At Millie Lewis where she is available for makeup lessons, facials and brow shaping. Maria is also the stylist for  Hamricks of Gaffney. As a commercial stylist Maria works with clients from all different venues. One of her favorites is working with politicians both on a state and national level. 

Maria has trained with Murad, Mac and Aveda and is a master at creating a natural, radiant look for clients.  She teaches makeup techniques to actors, models but also to anyone wanting to learn how to apply makeup for their individual look.

Some of her commercial clients include Lester Holt with the Today Show, Tom Brokaw, Bernie Goldberg with Fox TV and NFL Films.
